Our Most Popular Tours

From first-time to advanced divers, the Kauai Down Under Dive Team is all about making your underwater experience truly memorable! We are passionate about what we do, the extraordinary island that we live on, and the abundant waters that surround it.

Experience all that Kauai scuba diving has to offer!

From the endemic species living in our reefs, to unique lava tubes and reef formations, Kauai Down Under can help you experience all that Kauai scuba diving has to offer. Our PADI trained professional scuba instructors have been hand-picked from the best of the best. They lead quality tours and offer fascinating briefings which include, marine ecology and conservation, Hawaiian history and lore. Your surface intervals will be filled with chatter about the critters that you encountered and how amazing the reef structures are. You will be amazed by how well our instructors know these reefs. Their experience means unsurpassed wildlife encounters and dive memories that will never leave you.

Kauai’s waters offer a diversity of reef topography in combination with a rich assortment of marine life that makes for truly remarkable diving.

Dive sites like Koloa Landing, Sheraton Caverns, Zach’s Pocket, Fast Lanes, General Store and more in Sunny Poipu are nurseries for many colorful fish including triggerfish, surgeonfish, parrotfish, butterflyfish, frogfish, scorpionfish, & moray eels.  Majestic lava tubes, rocky outcroppings, and large coral structures create the perfect habitat for fish to prosper.

In Kauai, we are also very lucky to encounter the endangered Hawaiian green sea turtle on nearly every dive! The Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles can reach 300+ pounds and are prolific on Kauai. Their main food source, which is algae, grows in abundance here because Kauai is one of the wettest spots on earth.

Rivers flowing into the sea from our mountain ranges disperse nutrients that feed algae and make it thrive. Because of this, the sea turtles stay close to shore and allow for awesome viewing encounters.

Call or book online today and experience for yourself why Kauai Down Under is hands down the best team and dive experience on Kauai!

The ocean (Moana) is at the heart pulse of what we do.  Without the vast eco systems and diverse species on our reefs there would be no underwater world for us to educate, explore and enjoy.  “The oceans deserve our respect and care, but you have to know something before you can care about it” – Sylvia Earle.

The #1 Water Experience in Koloa

Great experience getting my Padi Open Water Certification!

After years of doing "Discovery" Dives I finally got my Open Water Certification. It was a great experience! Kate, our instructor was incredibly informative, patient, and thorough. She would not move onto the next skill until everyone in our class was comfortable with the previous one. Everyone associated with Kauai Down Under Dive Team was great, including the office staff. It was the highlight of my trip and the fulfillment of a long term goal of mine.

Outstanding Experience

I'm not a certified or experienced diver. I got instructions from Nen and Logan. Both are highly professional and very knowledgeable in what they do. I had trouble with my ears on the dive but Logan was very patient and accommodating and I made the dive - which was absolutely stunning and not to be missed. If you're on Kauai - this is a #1 must do experience.

Good Times with Kauai Down Under

I was lucky enough to have two splendid days of PADI Scuba instruction with some real pros. Nen and Jared as Dive Masters were both professional, very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and patient. Capt. Davey at the helm of the Zodiac was great, and kept me laughing. With a pair of shore dives on the first day, this Wyoming boy was able to have a bit of practice remembering all the nuances to scuba.

Wonderful Experience for PADI Certification!

ody is a fantastic teacher. He led my two teens through two days of diving at Koloa Landing. I cannot say enough about his expertise, great attitude, patience, and laid back nature. He truly excels at what he does... Jody was super organized and made the entire adventure amazing. His knowledge of local marine life in Kauai was an added bonus. I highly recommend Kauai Down Under for PADI certification!

Great Night Dive!

This was our first night dive and it was a great experience that I would highly recommend! There are so many things to see that you see better at night - octopi, shrimp, lobster, large puffer fish, and bioluminescent plankton. Very cool and worth the time to get a twilight and night dive in at Koloa landing.
